The last couple of weeks we were told that her amniotic fluid is low. So, they told me not to be on my feet for long periods of time, to cut back on my exercise and to drink more fluids. Check, check and check. Yesterday we went in for a follow up ultrasound and found that her fluid has gone up some, but that she is very small for her gestational age (in the lower 10th percentile). Basically meaning a possibility of a few things:
- She may have an intrauterine growth restriction.
- The placenta may not be giving her the required amount of nourishment, stating a possible problem with the placenta.
- Or we might just make small babies.
