Baby Update

To all of those wondering how our sweet baby is doing, (since I haven't posted much) I have updates!

The last couple of weeks we were told that her amniotic fluid is low. So, they told me not to be on my feet for long periods of time, to cut back on my exercise and to drink more fluids. Check, check and check. Yesterday we went in for a follow up ultrasound and found that her fluid has gone up some, but that she is very small for her gestational age (in the lower 10th percentile). Basically meaning a possibility of a few things:

She may have an intrauterine growth restriction.
The placenta may not be giving her the required amount of nourishment, stating a possible problem with the placenta.
Or we might just make small babies.

We are being sent to a specialist (perinatologist) tomorrow to do a Level II Ultrasound to find out more about what the actual problem is. Hopefully all is well and we're just making small babies. :) I'll give an update after our appointment tomorrow.

I know it's been a long time since I last blogged, but I am here to confirm that I am alive and well. :) I know a couple blogs ago, I told you I had a few things going on and that I would update on those. Well.. here it is. We got SEALED in July!! We were sealed in the Draper, UT Temple. It was a beautiful ceremony and everything we wanted it to be. And to top it all off, we got sealed on our anniversary, July 15th. Exactly 1 year later. Pretty awesome. We had a wonderful time visiting Utah again, even though it was a super short trip.

Gentry was freakin awesome and got us this amazing cake. Which was all completed by the way, within 2 hours.. picture taken and all! She never ceases to amaze me.

We got to hang out with family. I reunited with the little ones and prayed they would remember me. Looks like I faired well with Paisley. Doesn't she have the most kissable face!?

I was even pretty sneeky and got Kylie to let me hold her. She eventually fell asleep while I held her. It sometimes seems like there's nothing more precious than holding a sleeping child. LOVE!

I also went to see a chiropractor about that "nerve pain" I was having and he said it was an s.i. joint strain sprain. Basically that means that while my body was preparing for my baby, I probably released more of the Relaxin Hormone than I should have, and in turn, relaxed too much around my pelvic area. Which caused my bones and muscles to spread out and create an s.i. joint strain sprain. Sounds kind of complicated, but it makes sense. I'm off crutches now and by a miracle, was in time for my sealing, as you can see. Now I only go once a month. Things are looking up. :)

In the midst of all this, we went into our 20 week ultrasound to find out if we were having a boy or a girl.. Well, the little one would not move its' legs enough for us to see. So, our ultrasound tech was sweet and said shed just put on the form that she didn't get a good enough look at one of the feet, so we'd have to come in the following week. So, we went in the following week and low and behold our sweet child opened up just enough to give us a good look to find out that she's a GIRL!! We are thrilled and couldn't be happier. We have a couple names picked out, Jaelyn and Mila. Jaelyn has been the front runner, but we love both. Here are a couple cool ultrasound pics of our little girl:

We go in for a prenatal visit in a few weeks and they are offering a courtesy ultrasound in 3D of her face. But... I dunno. They actually already did one last time when we found out she was a girl and I think they're kinda weird and take away somewhat of the surprise. The doc said her features should be set by then, she'll just need to finish 'filling out." I might just opt for a cute foot pic instead. Or I also might just have the ultrasound tech take a pic of her while I look away and have her put it in an envelope for us to open after she's born. What are your guys thoughts on 3D ultrasounds? Anyway, enough ranting. I'll try to blog more. I'm out. :)

OUR VERY FIRST ULTRASOUND!

We went in for my first ultrasound appointment yesterday... AMAZING! I mean, I know people probably always say that, but when it's actually yours for the first time, there's nothing like that feeling. I was so amazed that I had a little one inside of me and he/she was moving ... a lot. For the first time seeing our little gummy bear, he/she was sure active. I got a little clip of him/her moving around and part of the heart beat (which cuts off, but it was 176 bpm.) I'm so excited. I can't wait to see the next one and how much progress he/she has made. (The video totally looks cooler in full screen! :))

Preggo News!!

Well, now that everyone knows that I'm pregnant, I thought I'd share some updates.
First of all, our insurance company has issues. For real. But they have since been resolved. Thinking I was having to have a baby without insurance.. not such a fun thought to entertain. Believe me.
Morning sickness has made it's debut. But of course its mostly been hovering over the toilet just THINKING I'll puke, but never do. I threw up only probably 2 or 3 times. That started at about 7 weeks and kicked my butt for a couple weeks after that.

I then discovered a pain in my lower left tailbone area and decided to stretch it out to see if it'd loosen up. And I just made it worse. The next night, I toppled to the floor in excruciating pain, unable to put pressure on my left leg, and with pain radiating down my thigh. I got a blessing from my husband and we decided to wait it out. 4th of July was when I received crutches and Tuesday, July 5th I went into my OBGYN. I had an appointment set for this Saturday for my 1st prenatal visit, but instead decided to do the visit then to see if I could get help. Nope. Just a check up and a referral to a physical therapist and a boot out the door. Oh, and not to mention the oh, so polite, "Congrats on your pregnancy!"
In the meantime, my mother-in-law went to see her chiropractor for her back and told him about my situation. He said he thinks he knows exactly what it is from what she's explaining, and can help me within 1-2 visits! He said, that usually when you're heading toward the end of your 1st trimester (which I am) sometimes you can develop a lot of these surging hormones one in particular called Relaxin, that will start to separate the bones to make room for the baby, and in doing so, can cause the bones to pinch a nerve. So, I have an appointment tomorrow morning and am praying I'll be able to feel better. Because after all, I'm getting sealed next week and am not anxious to be doing such on some dang crutches!!
Yep, thats right! We are getting sealed July 15th, 2011! It will be exactly one year from when we got married. And we are thrilled! I do however want to state that we have a fairly small sealing room and have decided to only invite immediate family members. We so badly want to invite many that mean so much to us, but are unable to do so with the room requirements. So, immediate family it is. We thank everyone who supports and understands this. We love you guys so much!

I will blog again once I find out whats going on with my nerve pain and have seen my 1st ultrasound which will be this Saturday. Can't wait!

Wanna know a secret?

So, I have a secret that I'm ready to tell, I've been blogging a little bit and have decided to combine the blog posts into one so it won't be a scheduled blog. So.. here it is:
(Friday, May 27th, 2011) It's kinda crazy, but I know I'm pregnant. (.. and I just cut out much unnessesary info that you did NOT need to know. Continuing on...) And now I'm 3 days late on my VERY regular period.

(Saturday, May 28th, 2011) We went to Walmart this morning for George's eye exam, and I figured now would be the best time to grab a pregnancy test while he's not around. So, I grabbed one real quick and waited in line and... I forgot my wallet. Dang it. Well, I'll just ask George for his debit card real quick to get it over with. He asked why I couldn't just wait til he was done since I had some grocerey shopping to do first anyway. But, I insisted that I needed to buy something separate and he finally gave in. So, I did my grocery shopping and as I got to the counter, I put the test up first and told the guy I wanted to buy it separately. He looked at the test and said, "is someone going to be happy?" I laughed and said, "Very much so! I just want to purchase it separately before he comes or sees it on the receipt." As I finished up, George came over and the guy noticed it was my husband by the way I said, "Oh, hi sweetie!" as I signaled the cashier as if to say, "don't screw this up." He asked for the pin number and I froze. Shoot! What's his dang pin number? "Honey, can you put your pin in real quick please?" So he did as I laid the rest of the grocereies on the belt. Shoot! the bag! I turned back and saw George peeking in the bag! I looked at the cashier and he looked at me as though he was saying, "don't worry, I got your back." I took the bag real quick and saw he had wrapped it up 3 times. Lol. Awesome. My cashier's helping me out. Lol. I walked away a happy woman with a curious husband. I'm very excited to take the home pregnancy tests tomorrow morning, (apparently morning is the best time for your hcg levels to show a true reading) and especially can't wait to tell my oh, so eager husband, after we've been trying for 5 months to conceive. I better get to finding out how to tell him. Hmm.. what to do, what to do...

(Sunday, May 29th, 2011) NOW IT'S OFFICIAL.. WE'RE PREGNANT!

Just as I suspected, this morning I took 3 pregnancy tests. All of which came back POSITIVE! Yay! I unfortunately couldn't think of a clever way to tell my husband so soon, so I just grabbed 2 pieces of paper and wrote on one, "GUESS WHAT...", and showed him. He said, "What's on the next piece of paper?" So, on the second I wrote, "WE'RE PREGNANT!" He asked how I knew and I showed him the 3 tests. :)
According to a couple website due-date calculators, I should be due to have my very first baby around Jan 31st, 2012. Can't wait to make a doctor's appointment to find out for sure. I should be about 4 weeks right now. YAY!

Not even 7am

(Sunday, June 5th, 2011) My family is home from Washington and now I can tell them. I wanted to find a cool way to tell them, but when you don't even live in the same state, it makes it a tiny bit difficult. So, I decided that I wanted to tell them that I want to take a picture for Father's Day coming up (to distract them from wondering why I want them to all be there.) But in addition, I really want a picture to keep of their reaction to put in the baby album. So, they all came over and I took one normal one. Then I pretended like it wasn't working and asked George to come help me. He came over and fiddled with some stuff and on the next one I said, " Okay, on the count of three everyone say.. Chelsea and George are pregnant!" Nothing. "What did you say? We couldn't hear you." George and I looked at each other and laughed then said it again. Needless to say, the pictures say it all. :)

(Wednesday, June 8th, 2011) So, as of yesterday, I am 6 weeks along. I am feeling very good. So I'll treasure the last days I have before morning sickness kicks in. I have an appointment for June 25th. So I'll keep ya'll updated.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month.. for me. :)

Now, I have to admit that I, myself, have only done maybe two self-check breast examines in my life. And with a history of breast cancer that runs in my family, you'd think that I was a complete MORON! And so.. it's true. I am. Because why should I think that I wouldn't or even couldn't become breast cancer's next victim?
With the internet becoming more and more accessible through our home computers, to our laptops with wi-fi or now even our cell phones and iPods, we are able to hear about these life-threatening health risks at our fingertips.
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death in women (after lung cancer.)
According to the American Cancer Society, about 1.3 million women will be diagnosed with breast cancer annually worldwide and about 465,000 will die from the disease. About 1 in 35 women die from breast cancer in the United States every year. White, Hawaiian, and African-American women have the highest incidence of invasive breast cancer in the United States (approximately four times higher than the lowest group). Do a self exam. 3AM. Sound asleep. The door creaks open, but is unable to be heard.  Five... four... three... two....... one. My hair is pulled aggressively  by a man, until I hit the ground. I thrash and kick and scream as loud  as I possibly could for my husband to be able to hear and save me. But  he hears nothing. I realize quickly he can't and I can feel an  overwhelming feeling come over my body, as this man pulls me away from  him. I grasp on for dear life to the end of my bed frame. HELP!! GEORGE  HELP ME!!!!! AHHHHHHH! WHY CAN'T YOU HEAR ME!!!!!!! HELP! ME! At this  point, there is another man with my kidnapper. He shoves a piece of  fabric into my mouth and a cloth over my eyes just before we leave my  front doorway. Then, I wake up. I turn to George as he asks me if I'm  okay. I fall asleep crying to the unsettling feeling of this dream  appearing to be so real.

4:12AM. I wake up and remember that the door had been forgotten to be  locked. I walk downstairs, across the living room floor and to the  entryway. I reach for the lock and just as I'm about there, it opens. A  hand grabs mine and pulls it hard until my head hits up against the door  panel. I scream and become lightheaded and dazed for a moment as my  eyes shift from the impact of the door. Nothing is heard. No  stirring in the house to come help me. I'm on my own. The door opens  slightly and a man appears. I cannot see his face as I wrestle to get  away, but only a dark presence. I'm scared and feel as though death must  come soon. He pulls me into a grassy field. There stood two men who said  they did it to make a point. Then, I woke up. Again, it felt SO real. I  looked over at the door of the master bathroom and felt the fear that  someone is waiting for me. But I have to pee! George is still asleep and  I am living in fear. I wake George and tell him about my dream. He  comforts me for a minute and drifts off. I start to cry, and eventually  fall back asleep. Even in the morning when I went to the bathroom, I  couldn't help but be hesitant. I was mortified.

Recently I decided that I want to share pictures on a daily basis. However, even though I've been very good about blogging lately, I can't for certain say that it wil remain the same. So, in case I just don't get around to it, maybe I'll just do it when I have nothing to blog about. For Halloween this year, George and I went to a haunted house on Friday in Mesa. It was pretty scary. At the end when you're exiting, they surprise you with a guy chasing you with a chainsaw. Little do you know the people who are playing miniature golf while you're running for your life and screaming can see it all. They all get a kick out of it, sitting there watching people come out. In fact, George and I sat and watched people for a minute too. Pretty good stuff. So we dressed up as Zombies last minute. Here are a few pictures.

My friend Ashley tagged me in her blog and now I must submit the questions that she has asked. So, here they are:

What is your most embarrassing moment?

"K, have a good day. Don't fall on your face!
I regret to inform you that I cannot tell my MOST embarrassing moment, however, I can tell you my second most embarrassing moment. It was when I was in high school and I was running late for school. I had recently learned that if I was late for class one more time, I'd fail. So of course, as I jumped out of the car that cold, snowy morning I ran for my life or for my grade rather. I had currently been sort of dating this guy at school and as I was running, I slipped on the snow, or ice, whatever it was, and ate it. It was like slow-motion. My books and notepads were flying in the air, my body flailing though the snow. It of course had to be those last couple minutes before the bell rang that everyone was always just getting to school too. It was like rush hour traffic, but for high school kids. Well, remember that guy I told you about? Well, his best friend saw it all. He pointed and said, "Is that Chelsea Dabling?!!" I was mortified. He laughed with his buddies and walked inside. Later that afternoon as I was limping into the commons area (Yes, I said limping. I ended up spraining my ankle during the fall) I saw that guy I liked. He was at his lunch table with all of his buddies. I started to walk away but he called me over. I didn't want to turn around. I knew they were all watching me. Ugh.. "Hey!" "Hey Chels! Uh hmm.. I heard you took quite a fall this morning.." then they all busted up laughing. Boys can be so mean. I walked away. I wanted to die then and there. That's it. That's my story.

Who, what, where, when, and how was your first kiss?

"My first kiss went a little like this..." This is actually pretty funny. When I was 14 years old, I had my first kiss with Dillon Allred. I know some people who read this blog may know him. Sorry. That's kinda awkward. But it's over and done with now okay? So read and move on. Lol. Anyway, one weekend a friend and I were watching movies in a hut we made in the backyard. When all the sudden Dillon and his friend came by the fence and asked what we were doing. We told them we were watching a movie and they asked if they could come watch. We agreed. I have to admit, I had a crush on Dillon for a while. My friend and his friend went for a walk and it was just Dillon and I. I excused myself and went inside. I knew the "kiss" was coming and I wanted to prepare myself. I brushed my teeth and quickly put in a couple movies and tried to remember where the kissing scenes were. Finally, I found one. I watched and tried to remember what they were doing and got up the guts to go back outside. I'm surprised he was still there. It must have been 10 minutes or so. Haha! So, I sat back down next to him and just waited. Finally after a couple minutes he went in for the kiss. Our lips touched and then.. wait! What is this? It's slimy and gross! He stuck his tongue down my throat! I didn't plan for this! The movie I watched, didn't have tongue! GROSS! I didn't like it. I was appalled and we went back to watching the movie. Our friends came back after what seemed like forever and we said goodnight to the boys. I didn't kiss a boy for quite some time after that. Good thing too cause I was only 14!! Way too young. So that's my first kiss.

What is your favorite movie?

My favorite movie.. Hmmm.. I'm not really sure if I can answer that. I don't think I have just one favorite that I can narrow it down to. I have favorites in categories. My Girl is my favorite sad movie, When A Stranger Calls is my favorite scary movie. But come to think of it, I might have to say that the movie that makes me the happiest thus, probably making it my favorite may just be NACHO LIBRE! It's just too good.

If you only had 24 hours left to live, how would you spend it?

George and I were just talking about this the other day actually. So, if I had just 24 hours left to live it would be with George and my family. Hands down.

What is your favorite thing to do to relax?

GET A MASSAGE/FACIAL. No question about it. But, if I didn't have the means to get myself a massage or a facial then I would have to say cuddle with my hubby.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Old lady/man perfume or cologne. You know what I'm talking about. The kind that's just so strong that you take one whiff of it and you start coughing and choke on your own saliva because you have now inhaled it into your mouth. It doesn't even smell good either. Just rancid and old smelling. Ick! Come on people. Just because you can't smell it on you anymore, doesn't mean other people can't. We can. :) Very well. Don't sneak a bottle in your purse and put it on every 2 seconds. I mean, is it an attempt to be noticed? If so, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Surprisingly enough, I do not have a hibbity dibbity list. I haven't ever thought much about it to compile a list. Sorry for being lame.

What is something that always makes you happy?

My nieces and nephews. No matter what, they're just innocent and precious. I love them so much. I got a text the other day from Crystal that said: "Katie was asking about you this morning. She said, "Mom, where did Chelsea go?" Then I said, "She went to Arizona." Then she interrupted me and asked, "With George?" I said, "Yes." She told me she just wants to run and say hi and love you real quick." Those are some of the precious moments that make me love them so much. I miss them and can't wait to see them for Christmas! Look at those faces. How can you not love these guys? I mean, honestly?

Recently George and I were at Target and I saw some cute bulbed lights that I decided I wanted for our back porch. Needless to say, we walked away without them and life moved on. So, the other night George called me downstairs while I was studying. I told him it would have to wait until I finished testing, and that I only had 10 questions left. He told me to hurry because he had found the BIGGEST scorpion he'd ever seen. I, of course, out of curiosity, wanted to see. So, I finished up and went downstairs. He led me out back and there he had those cute bulbed lights set up that I wanted so badly and gave me a flower that he picked from our front yard. And of course, no scorpion. How romantic. My husband must truly love me. Dang, he's seriously just the best! :)

I've been seeing a lot of beautiful scenery in Arizona since I've been here and decided that I'm going to start taking pictures of God's beautiful creations. I figure there are lots of people that appreciate things like this so, this is a start:

On my way home from work I saw this sunset that was so powerful. I was just lucky I didn't have to drive toward it. It would've been blinding.

So here, I was driving down the road the other day on a mad hunt for drapes for my windows and low and behold I found the most glorious rainbow I'd ever come across. It started out as a double then stretched across the whole sky. I couldn't retrieve a photo of the whole rainbow in one shot, so I took it in sections. People stopped to get out of their cars (like i did, I should've taken a picture of that) to get a picture of this rainbow. Then, I saw an airplane flying right next to it. AND THEN I went inside the store for a minute and came out and the sun had started to set and it became a beautiful color. It was amazing to say the least.

NO MAN'S LAND!

So, I live in "No Man's Land." I swear, I see my sanity dissipating slowly. I feel confined to a little piece of geographical land that I see myself trading my soul (or rather my time) for, for a shopping center. It doesn't even matter if that shopping center is full of computer parts or mattresses. I just want to be close to something with a city feel. I look out my back window and see palm trees and then... nothing. I live in a complex where our houses are so close together and yet there is SO MUCH space in between everything else outside of the complex. I feel claustrophobic. Which is weird cause there's nothing outside the complex. But, I want to see buildings go up around me and houses around them. I feel like I'm in a fishbowl, with only the same rocks to kick. All I know is I better not die old in this fish bowl. They need to start on something around here and QUICK! And if not, I think I might go crazy. Because driving 20 mins to get to a grocery store is just not going to cut it for me. I'm too used to having everything be so convenient for me. Grocery store in Utah... 5 mins away from my old house. Oh, Utah how I miss you. I miss the people there too. Even though I've only been here about 3 months, they seem much nicer in Utah. Here, not so much. WTF Arizona? You need to step your game up!

ZOEY AND FRESNO

Have I ever mentioned how much I just love our puppies Zoey and Fresno? Well, I do. George and I just went through some pictures of what they looked like when they were so new and little.. DANG they were cute! Well, unfortunately time passes all too quickly when they are little and start to become bigger and stronger and.. uglier? I don't think there's an easier way to say it. Unless I put it like this, you just can't compare a puppy to a dog. The puppy will ALWAYS win when it comes to adorability. Is that even a word? Anyway, I thought I'd post some recent pictures for my nieces and nephews and anyone else that wants to check them out. :)

I would love to see someone that lives in Arizona who's hair is not secretly falling off their head. Ever since I moved here, my hair has not been the same. It has never been dryer. It seems like everyday I'm living the life of Claire on the tv show LOST here. The heat is literally sucking the life or moisture rather, out of my hair and I feel like a crazy person! Like I'm gonna go all Britney Spears anytime now. I've tried the almighty K-Pak Moisturize and nothing! Maybe I need to use the reconstructor first. Heaven knows I need that! Now I just have to find in within all of my boxes that still need unpacking... huh. (picked up a few days later.) After the night I started this blog, I went on a mad hunt for my K-Pak Reconstruct, and found it. And... success. I used my K-Pak Reconstruct and followed with K-Pak Moisturize. The only problem is, that it only last like less than a week before my hair started drying out again. There should be a hair product made for people that live in Arizona specifically. Anyone have any ideas? I'm desperate!

SHARK WEEK!

Well as most people know, SHARK WEEK is kinda a big deal! And we were making no excuses. We made it a point to watch SHARK WEEK as much as our schedule's allowed us and even made shark fins for our puppies. Ok, well I did. I went to the Dollar Tree by my new work and noticed these silver party hats. LIGHT BULB! I figured that if I just taped the sides together they would look so stinkin cute. Just like little sharks. :) Aren't they so adorable?! We finished SHARK WEEK by going to Red Lobster. It just felt so right. I hope everyone was able to experience SHARK WEEK they way that George and I were. It was a SUCCESS. :)

Ridiculous Movies..

Dear friends and family,

I have a situation on my hands. His name is George, and he LOVES stupid, ridiculous movies. I'm not talking about movies like, Year One, As Good As It Gets, or even Glitter that featured Mariah Carey. I'm talking about terrible, way off, wacked out movies. Here are a couple examples. Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. Yep. Just the name alone tells the story.

I have taken the liberty to inquire about the fasination between George and these movies and it went a little something like this:

Chelsea: "George, what is the reasoning behind all this?"
George: "Well, Chelsea to answer your question, the reasoning is to observe the ridiculous cinematography, CHEESY lines, sub-par acting, and glorious beasts. I find it fascinating that these producers will pay 100,000s - millions of dollars to directors, storywriters, and actors to create such a piece of crap. The phrase “are they serious?” probably comes to mind 25-35 times throughout the movie. Yet, laying my eyes on the glorious beasts created with 1995 caliber graphics makes it all worth it for me."
Chelsea: "Why do you LOVE these movies?"
George: "Observing the glorious creatures… Deep down I believe in sea monsters, in Nessie. "Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus" answers one of the deep questions that has plagued my soul since I was a small boy. I also believe in Bigfoot and mindless Puma’s and Grizzly’s that exist to eff people up, like in "Grizzly Rage." These movies keep that small flame of hope alive. Unfortunately the movies are made by retards."

Well folks, there you have it. From the man himself. If anyone can top these movies, let me know. I'm sure my husband would be thrilled! :)

I'm married yo! And yes, we are living in Arizona; Where the sky is blue and the land is... DRY. Haha! George and I got married Thursday, July 15th, 2010. It was a gorgeous, hot day. Filled with excitement, fear, love and sadness. I got to marry the man I love, George. And yet, had to leave my family. It was a bittersweet day.

For some reason, as crazy as the day was, my storm was calmed. I was late for my own wedding. I drove and was crazy on the road. Careful to not kill myself on my own wedding day and yet, still get there on time. (Which wasn't going to happen anyway, as much as I would've liked that.) I pulled up to the place, running with dress in hand. People were already seated, because I was supposed to be walking down the aisle at that very moment. It was hot and I felt terrible for my guests. I went inside to change and again; calm. I even started singing something Kelly Clarkson. I was excited and just.. calm. No otherway to explain it. My mom thought I was acting extremely wierd, as did Sienna. "What happened to that CRAZY engaged chick, who couldn't control her emotions and was a complete psycho?"-I'm sure was what they were really thinking. Lol. In reality, she was gone and ready to take on the world with her wonderful new husband! As I finished up, and walked outside, I noticed people were still coming for the ceremony. Really? And here I was thinking I was making everyone wait. I even waited for people to get seated before I walked over. Relief. Happy that my fiance was still waiting for me, after I was so late, seeing him stand up there so handsome and ready to make the same committments as me, was awesome. I knew that I was just a few minutes away from being married to him and starting a whole new life.

My wonderful father walked me down the aisle, and as I approached the bishop, he had George move to the left..WTF!!?? I'm supposed to be on that side! But, nope; I was stuck with my eyes toward the blazing hot sun. Squinting, I'm sure, for the whole time we were up there, probably made beautiful pictures. Lol.
Bishop spoke about some beautiful things as well as reminding my family and informing my friends about our "window war." Bishop, myself, and my sister Gentry, have favorite baseball teams. Gentry and I love the Yankees, and bishop loves the Dodgers... dun, dun, dun! We weren't going to have that. So since bishop lives right across the street from us, we decided to paint on our sliding glass window about how either the Yankees are freakin awesome or the Dodgers suck. Just playful banter was all. Hehe. :) Bishop concluded with, "You may kiss your bride.." We exchanged rings, and we were MARRIED! Finally! We gave hugs and kisses to our loved ones and took our pictures.
My hair fell out, since I didn't allow Sienna enough time to do it. Sorry Sienna. :/ So, it wasn't how I wanted it exactly. But she was great trying to emprovise for me.

It was reception time and our photographer didn't show up. (We later discovered, it was a miscommunication.) I was pretty sad. So, our awesome DJ took some pictures, since his wife is a wedding photographer and so we do have a couple pics. But, most of them were blurry. :( *SHOUT OUT* If anyone took any pictures of our wedding, will you please contact me? I would love to see them!
At last, we conquered the reception. Gentry made George an awesome Grooms Cake, (which George wanted to take home) but had to leave it there. So, we took a picture instead. :)

We said goodbye to family, which was difficult. I love my family so much! We ended the night by running through sparklers. Which was magical. As we climbed in the car filled with balloons and chocolate kisses, we laughed and drove away. Not too long after, I asked George to pull into the parking lot of the mouth of the canyon, because I noticed that I was sitting in chocolate kisses and got it all over my dress!! Aaahhh! So we threw them out, but the damage was done. Oh well, it was a cute and fun idea. And, I own the dress anyway! Yeah-ya!

We went to Lake Havasu for our honeymoon, and it was HOT!!! 117° hot! We went parasailing on Saturday morning and it was beautiful! It was so much fun! We ate at a place called, MUDSHARK Restaurant. It was amazing. Such yummy food.

We finally got home and topped off our honeymoon by getting 2 new, beautiful puppies!Fresno (boy) and Zoey (girl). They are so much fun. It's kinda funny, since we brought them home, their personalities flip-flopped completely. Zoey is now the more outgoing one, and Fresno's more quiet. He's my little snuggler. Such a mamma's boy!
Well, I think that wraps up my blog. Thanks to everyone who came to and/or helped with the whole wedding. We really appreciate everyone's help. I love you all!

I'M ENGAGED!

Yep. That's a true statement. It happened the afternoon after my my most current sleep incident. So, I had a pretty rough start to my day, not to mention a rough day at work too. My sister Sienna wanted to do "girl pictures" over at Nielsen's Grove Park that day as well. I found some relief from that, seeing as it was a Friday and just wanted to be home anyway. So I left when I was scheduled to be off (which rarely happens) and went home to get ready for pictures. It had been gloomy and yucky all day and I wasn't sure if we were still going to do pictures. I got ready anyway, and Sienna called. "Hey, you guys ready yet?" "Almost. Probably another 10 more minutes." "Okay, I'll head over to your house then." When we were all ready, we headed out to the car and it had been snowing and still was... bad. I suggested that instead of Nielsen's Grove, we could maybe go down to the Springville Art Center where it's inside, but still pretty. Sienna said, she thought it'd be fun to get some cool pics in the snow. So, we complied and then we were off. Once we got to Nielsen's Grove, we walked around and finally came to the fountains. I was looking around and I caught something out of the corner of my eye.. I kept on what I was doing but, what I saw was so out of the ordinary. It was a guy. A really good looking guy at that. So, I thought, "What is he doing in the middle of a snow storm without a jacket on, at a park? Is he alone? I mean is anyone with him?" So, I took a second glance and to my surprise it was my handsome boyfriend. He came over and we talked, then he got down on a knee and asked me to marry him. My response? "YES!" It was beautiful. We took pictures (obviously) since the whole "girls pictures" thing was a scam to get me there. It couldn't have been more perfect. So now, I am the soon to be Mrs. Chelsea Nielsen and I am ecstatic about it! We do not have adate set yet, but once we know.. you'll know! :) I also promised pictures, so here you have it!

I've done it AGAIN!! Acting out my dreams. It's starting to become alarming.
All I know is that I woke up at 6:50AM. I have to be to work at 7AM. So, I rushed to get ready, all the while checking my phone to keep an eye on the time. 6:51AM- getting dressed. 6:53AM- my mom comes into the kitchen as I put donuts in a bag, that I bought for our party at work. She asks what I'm doing and I say, "Oh, we have a work party today. Just putting them in a bag real quick." She says, "You guys sure do party a lot" and walks back into her room. 6:54AM- Out the door. 6:57AM- On the freeway. I started thinking, "Wow, there's not a whole lot of people on the road this morning. Is it a holiday? A lot of government workers?.. It is a Friday. My usual morning radio station isn't talking. Just music. Must be a holiday." 7:01AM- I look over at the parking lot as I wait at the stop light by my work. "That's strange," I thought. "Why is no one here yet? .. Wait a minute..." I shift my eyes over to look at the clock.. 1:01AM.
Yep. I went to work at 1AM. I saw 6:50, 6:51, 6:54, 6:57, and 7:01 the whole time. And not until the trigger of seeing that empty parking lot did I actually wake up and see 1:01AM. Not 12:50-57AM. I laughed as I made a u-turn and headed back home. As I got home, I noticed the lights on downstairs. I walked down to find my mom and brother on the computer. I told them my story and they laughed. My mom said she thought it was strange that I had left, but figured I needed to run to the store for something. Gentry also heard the door slam and thought it was strange. Wondering where someone would be going so late (or so early.) I later thought to myself, "What if I had dreamed that I was going to Arizona to see George? I wonder what the trigger would have been to wake me up and realize that I'm not going to see George in Arizona and that I am in fact, sleeping. I wonder how far I would have gotten. Hmmm..." I think I may need to see a sleep doctor.

Surprise!!

So, I decided that I hated the fact that George would spend his birthday without me. It just didn't seem right. So.. I drove down and surprised him. I took Friday off and drove down.
I had a rough start when my GPS wouldn't work right away and my printer wouldn't print out Mapquest directions. I ran over to Sienna's and we figured something out. (Thanks Ceec!) I was off. I used those directions until the GPS started working. So when it did start working, I noticed it was taking me onto unpaved roads that led to NO WHERE! I was so confused. I said a quick prayer and called Sienna, asked how long the mapquest directions estimated me to get to AZ and it was like 12 hrs. So I decided to use the mapquest directions instead.
When I got to Beaver, I was only down 1/4 tank of gas. But for some reason decided to stop and get gas. I first looked at the two options: Shell and Chevron. I went to Shell. I pulled up and thought, "go to Chevron.." It didn't make sense. But I did it anyway. I pulled in and started filling up when one of the guys working there came to fill it for me. He suggested if I wanted to buy anything in the store or use the restroom I could and he'd have it taken care of when I got out. So I did, and on my way back he met me at the door and handed me my receipt. He then explained to me about my front right tire and how it was completely bald. He asked where I was headed. And when I told him Arizona and he said I wouldn't be able to make it on that tire and that it would probably blow on me. So he asked if I had a good spare in my trunk. We took a look and sure enough it was just a spare to get me by. He suggested that I get a new tire. So I pulled into his shop next to the gas station, Cooper Tires. There he raised my car up and started changing my tire. I waited inside the gas station for about 10 minutes before he came to tell me more news, "all of your tires suck" is basically what it transferred into. I was a little less than halfway by then and completely frazzeled. I was all by myself trying to figure everything out. He estimated to have my tires taken care of for the price of $250!! I don't have that kind of money!!! I called Tyler and asked him his expert opinion. He thought that maybe the tires were still under warranty and that he'd look into it for me and I should ask them to stop real quick until he figured it out. So I asked and waited for Ty to call back. He did. Bad news. :( Not under warranty anymore. So as I told them, I started crying uncontrollably. The guys felt bad and asked if I wanted to opt for used tires instead. WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT BEFORE?!! Jeez! I said, "yes" and they even said they could use the two best tires and put them to the back and just put two used ones on. I asked if the used ones would get me to Arizona and back and they said yes. I felt confident in the decision and had them continue. As I sat outside the shop on a bench, I got a call from my mom and cried as I told her all about it. I had people asking if I was ok and if I needed anything. I felt stupid. I couldn't stop crying and there was no where to go. The guy working on my tires came out as I was talking to my mom. He told me that he would take off the cost of labor and an extra $20. I only payed $80 for all of it. They even bagged one of my old tires to take back to Ty to show him they weren't screwing me over. I realized as I was back on the road, it was a blessing. What if I had never stopped for gas (when I didn't need to?) What if I stayed at the Shell gas station? What if I had a blow out on my way down to Arizona? Would I have been stranded? Would I have crashed? Died even? You never know. I am SO grateful for that blessing in my life to be able to listen to the Spirit, even when it doesn't make sense. If ya'll ever go down that way, stop at the Chevron/Coopers Tires in Beaver cause they'll take care of you.

So off I went again. Boring, boring, bor.. WAIT!!! Scenery? ...Yes!! It was beautiful. After a looooooong stretch of nothingness, finally some scenery! I was reminded of how it was a few years ago when I made this trip with my mom... oh how I miss those days. :( I stopped off at a gas station somewhere after I hit Arizona and made a cute little friend.
What a gorgeous dog!! I did some more driving and finally got a call from Brian (George's brother.) "Where you at?" "I'm in Page. How far is that?" "Like another 5 or 6 hours.. Chels, you probably not gonna make it!" "Oh, I'll make it Brian.. trust me!!" All I could think of was how disappointed George was going to be when he got home, just to find out that he wasn't really going to have steak and potatoes ready for him and see Avatar with Brian. I told Brian, that when George calls me like he usually does on his way home from work, that if I knew I wasn't going to make it, then I'd break the news to him. So, by the time I was about a half hour away from George's, he calls. SHOOT! That means he's on his way home!! It takes him a half hour to get home. It's now a race and he doesn't even know it! We're about the same distance away. The only advantage is that he knows where he's going. I'm just trusting my directions will get me there without getting lost. AND I'm in the dark and can't recognize a thing! He calls and says, "Babe!! Are you at my house?!!" In my head, I'm thinking, "what the crap? How does he know?" I laugh and say, "No. Why do you think that?" "Cause you are!!!" "No I'm not George, truly. I wish I was." "But you are! You came down for my birthday! And besides, Brian told me to call you when I got off work. Why else would he say that?" "He told you already? I do have something for you, but that was going to be a surprise for tonight. So just forget he said anything." I continue to tell him that I went to a birthday dinner up in Salt Lake and was on my way home. He didn't buy into any of it. We continued to go back and forth again for a good 10 minutes or so. I finally just say, "George, I need you to stop saying that cause I'm starting to feel bad that I'm not down there. :( I wish I could be there. If you really want me to, I'll find a flight tonight and be there first thing tomorrow morning. Want me to?" He said, no and we kept talking. I finally pull up to his place and he's still not there! YES! I told George that I needed to go to the bathroom and that I would call him right back. I pulled into the garage and ran upstairs to fix myself up and try to look cute. That didn't really work. I had makeup all over my face from crying about my stupid car and I just looked exhausted. Dangit! lol. I called George back and he said he was just pulling up to his house. He asked if I still wanted to talk, but I said that I was just going to go to bed cause I had a migraine. He said ok and we hung up. About 10 seconds later he opens the door and SURPRISE!!! "You did come!!" So I guess it was somewhat of a successful surprise. :)

The next day we went over to see his family cause they had a birthday gift for him. After, we went to the mall and had lunch. He got Panda Express while I had Chik-fil-a! Then it was time.... AVATAR!! Yes, we went to see Avatar. George loved it. But, I fell asleep for the first 15 minutes or so and enjoyed the rest! After the movie we went to Native New Yorker for dinner to watch the UFC fights, mainly the Randy Couture vs. Mark Coleman fight. Needless to say Couture won. Yeah-ya! We went back to his house and watched The Pursuit of Happyness. That's a great movie, if anyone of you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. :) The next morning we said our goodbyes and I was off. I cried like a freakin baby. Whatever.

On my way home, I was so excited to see all of what Arizona has to offer. Especially all of the cactuses or cacti if you will, that I wasn't able to see on my way there. I was reminded of how cool the freeway is as I drove down it and looked at all the walls. Lizards and cactuses. I took a picture of some mountains to remind me that I have proof that there are some in Arizona. Haha! I drove through so many different weather changes it was like mother-earth was bipolar that day, and I felt I was able to experience the many different moods along with her. I was sad about leaving (rain), happy to see cactuses (sun), mad for needing to work the next day (thunder storm), confused about where I was (slush. It didn't know whether to rain or snow), etc.. I also stopped off at lookout point to see the Grand Canyon. I took a few pictures on my way home. Here's a few of them. What a trip. :)

Today is a special day where we celebrate just you. And YOU are nothing far from being simply amazing. You've been such an inspiration to me in the short period of time we've been together. You know how to make me laugh not only at just the witty things you say but, also at the small stuff I just shouldn't sweat. You go after what you want in life and succeed because you work hard to achieve it. I admire you as my boyfriend but also just as a person. I love spending time with you, even if it's just us cuddling up watching football in our NFL gear, drinking root beer. You have so many wonderful qualities about you that far exceed what I've written in this blog post. And, I hope that as you spend today, you can admire you too! Hopefully I can help make today wonderful for you. I wanted to blog this so everyone can see just how much I love you! You are my everything.

Trip To Arizona!!

So, I went down to visit George in good ol' Queen Creek, Arizona and... I LOVED it! I can't lie, I had doubts about it. But, George did a great job showing me around. I flew in Wednesday night and stayed through Sunday. It was magical. Ha! The first night (Wednesday) it was raining like crazy. The most insane lightning storm I've ever seen! It was beautiful, although quite frightening at the same time. On Thursday afternoon we went over to George's work and had a birthday lunch for Joe (one of George's co-workers/friend) and I got to meet the crew. We played the, "What Animal Do You Look Like" game. Umm.. what? Lol. George's dad Evan, started it off and went around the table and named off animals that people looked like. I was surprised that everyone was so okay with it. Everyone was laughing and finding it all humorous and so was I, until it was my turn.. a poodle or a giraffe? Really? Lol. Yup. It's true. I still don't get the poodle, maybe it was my hair that day. But, I can totally see the giraffe. What can I say? I have a long neck! Ha!

After lunch we went to Superstition Springs Mall and looked around for a bit. While we hanging out at Borders, Sienna called and George and I got to hear what gender baby she is having. I guessed a girl and George guessed a boy. And a cute little girl it will be. :) Congrats Ceec and Todd!! Not long after the great news we met up with George's parents for dinner, just across the street at The Cheesecake Factory. Mmm, mmm mmm... yummy!! :) I had a great time getting to know them. After we had dinner we went back to his parents house and I met his brothers. We also got to see their new calves. They were born just the night before in the insane storm the night before.

One of the highlights of the trip for me was going to GOLFLAND over in Mesa on Friday night. It was a lot of fun. It's basically a huge castle that has three different 18-hole put-put courses. It also has a racetrack, volleyball court, and a water park. Then there was an area called, "King Ben's Arcade" and it has 200+ video games and a Laser Tag center upstairs. We played at the arcade for a while and made some mad money off of the "Big Bass Wheel." It reminded me of what "The Price Is Right" wheel would have been like. My personal favorite was "Deal or No Deal." Instead of money, they put tickets in its' place. That was fun for me cause I love that show! We walked away with a Ring-Pop, Nerf football, an 8-ball, an Airhead, and probably something else that I can't remember. It was cheesy but seriously SO much fun! :)

After we quickly retrieved our prizes, we headed over to Joe and Karen's house for Joe's surprise party. When we got there we had pizza and cake. We played a little Mario on the Wii. That was fun. The little kids were kickin my butt though. In my defense though, I'd never played Mario on the Wii before. lol. After most people were gone, there were a few left who wanted to play Halo. So they did. I played for a little bit, but couldn't stick it out for very long before I got motion sick.

The next morning, we headed over to Sport's Chalet and bought Cardinal's shirts for the big game against the Saints later that afternoon. Sadly we lost. Not much else to say about that. :( After we watched Nacho Libre. Best movie ever! On Sunday we went to church, came back and had lunch. We watched The Pursuit of Happyness, and then took a much needed nap before we headed over to the parentals for dinner. Then... it was time for me to leave. Worst day of my life!! I hate that time. George took me to the airport and I cried. I'm such a baby. I had such a wonderful time though. I can't wait to do it again! :)

I had a great Thanksgiving this year. George came up for it and spent it with my family. We are officially dating! Yeah-ya! Dinner was fairly awkward and just off for some reason, but it was still lovely. I have so much to be grateful for. Let me just make a list for you:

1. GEORGE!! He makes me happy in so many ways. He's intelligent, soooo funny, a sweetheart, outgoing, and obviously smokin' hot among other things! I'm such a lucky girl to have him in my life. :) Love you baby!

2. MY FAMILY!! My family is awesome! I love them so much. I consider myself blessed to have a family like them. I know a lot of families aren't as close as ours. I know it's a blessing. Love you guys!

3. A FRIGGEN JOB!! I've seen the results of how the economy's been flipped upside down. I'm grateful to still have my job, even if it does get the best of me at times. Thanks Ross! (doesn't seem right saying that! lol)

4. GOOD HEALTH!! I came out of 2009 (so far) pretty good. The only big thing that happened to me this year was breaking my tailbone! :( Believe me, that just flat out sucks. But overall, I'm content.

5. VACATIONING!! I was lucky enough to go to Hawaii this summer with my family.It was ahhhhh-mazing! I just wanna go back already!

6. GOOD FRIENDS!! I have a good group of friends. All different in their own ways. I love it. You guys have helped me to realize that I have a handful of things I need to work on as well as a few good qualities that I possess. Thanks. You guys are awesome!

7. Who wouldn't be grateful for chocolate? CHILIS MOLTEN CHOCOLATE CAKE anyone? Mmmm! :)

8. GOSPEL of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!! I'm so unbelievably grateful for the gospel. How blessed am I to have it in palm of my hands, able to enjoy and receive the blessings of it? I'm so grateful for Jesus Christ and the Atonement. Heaven knows I make mistakes every single day of my life and having the atonement is the greatest gift. I love the gospel and what it gives to each of us. :)

Anyway, those are just a few of the things I'm grateful for. Thanks for those contributing to my list!

Ok, so I have a new obsession. It's called Hello Yogurt. And it's pretty much the greatest ever! I love it so much. It's just too bad I can't have any for a while, since I've started the HCG Diet again. All is well, though. I am a strong woman and can have some frozen yogurt once in a while, when I deserve it. Haha. Anyway, this is a pic of my last delightful experience. MMMMMM! :)

Baloo Dabling Dec. 21st, 2008

Death is so final. And on this earth when someone dies, that's it. Most of us are blessed to have the knowledge of the gospel, to know that there is so much more to come after this life. Something glorious and beyond description. But for the time being here on this earth, it is final. And "the time being" can be so long! My heart is aching. Full of anger and pain. Sadness and sorrow. I don't even know how to describe it. It simply is what it is.

My dog Baloo (of 11 years) died December 21st, 2008. It hurts. I sometimes, will find bones that have been burried underneath shoes, in my closet or behind blankets in the family room. Just hearing his name sets me back. Some people find it silly.. he was just a dog. Not a person. But to me, he was. He was my friend, and my "loyal companion." My alarm clock when I was late for work. My shoulder to cry on when I was hurting. And he always seemed to know when that was. My dog was a miracle and a blessing in my life. Heavenly Father knew that Baloo was exactly what I needed in times of heartache. He placed him in my life to have those moments of joy that he so often gave to me. Like running into the glass door. Or sliding down the stairs, or biffing it out of no where! Jumping up and down with excitement to see me. He was difficult and trouble at times. And as Jeannie would call him, "The Great Houdini!" Yes, Baloo was an escapologist! Ha ha! Sorry again, Jeannie! The moments where he would run out the door when I had a guy over, and we would have to go find him, giving me the opportunity to spend time with a cute guy. (Yeah, it happened a few times.) Baloo brought laughter into my life and of many others. I'm grateful for his life. For the friend he was. For giving more to MY life and making it better. I loved him and miss him with all of my heart. My heart is empty at times still. But, I know he's living a better life. Free from the pain that I saw him experiencing in the last couple days of his life.

Peter Jensen Lutz Nov. 11th, 2007

Life is sometimes more than difficult. I learn that everyday. I learn that people experience things differently and sometimes/a lot of times more difficult than I ever could. My ex-boyfriend's, little brother Peter, was struggling for a long time. After his long battle with depression, he took his life on November 11th, 2007. A life changing experience for not only his family, but for me as well. I went through a lot with them. But, not for one second would I EVER take those moments back. Life is rough. But God has a plan for us. He throws us trials to teach us lessons. And if we don't learn from them the first time, He'll throw it at us again, and again and again... until we understand just what it is that He wants us to understand. I've personally learned that first hand in my life. And when I realize that it's come full circle, I usually feel discouraged, thinking, "I thought I learned what it was that I needed to learn!" or "Oh crap!! I assumed that since I pushed it away, it wouldn't come back!" But, why would Heavenly Father give it to us, just to have us push it away? He doesn't. He gives it to us to learn what is needed, sometimes in order to get through something that will happen later in your life that might be similar to the experience that was so difficult for you before. He is giving us the tools to work with for later on. A close friend of mine once wrote me, "... the fact that I KNOW there is nothing I can do to win, and still make it out ok, proves the Lord's hand in everything." I don't know about you guys, but I am thankful for the tools that He has given me. As difficult as it may be... I am grateful.

Sharilee Anne Warner Nov. 11th, 2008

My aunt Shari passed away November 11th, 2008 after fighting pancreatic cancer for more than a year and a half. It was the 1 year anniversary of Peter's death. I found it ironic. My heart sank in despair, already struggling with the anniversary of Peter's death. How could this be placed on the same day? I fell apart. Not knowing how to get through it. I luckily had therapy, literally, right when I found out. I asked my mom to join me in the session as we talked about the life of Shari and Peter. Part of what was discussed, was how God has a hand in everyone's life and how it's presented. I didn't understand at first. I was lost. But as stated before, they are learning tools, to help us get through the trials in our lives. I'm reminded of a couple scriptures that I heard in church today, D&C 121:7-- And it says, "My son, (except I switch it for daughter in my case) peace be unto thy soul; thine afflictions shall be but a small moment." And then, D&C 84:88 which reads, "And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit, shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up." How powerful are those scriptures? When I heard those today, my heart was full. And the fact that I was able to apply those scriptures in my life, was a blessing beyond belief. That when I need the Lord the most, He reaches out and offers His hand. My affliction will be but a small moment. And His Spirit will be in my heart, and His angels will circle me and BEAR ME UP! Oh, the peace I feel when I read and ponder this! My heart is so heavy at times, and to have the angels bear that up for me, even if just for a little while, is so much more than I could ever ask for. I love the Lord and His gospel. The blessings that I have in my life are innumerable.

Even though death in this life is final. It is not for eternity. Our loved ones that have passed on are now in places that are beautiful and marvelous, in which we can only hope to understand.... but the truth is, we probably never will until the time comes when the Lord calls upon us to enter into the kingdom of heaven. So, until that day, those sweet and tender mercies of the Lord can help us get through. If we allow them to come and if we acknowledge them in our lives. My bishop always says, "Prayer is the key to the day, and the lock at night." So, get down on your knees and pray.

American Idol Starts Tuesday, January 13th @ 7:00pm!!!

Have you ever felt like you've completely and totally messed your life up? Like, to the point where everything you do is almost not worth doing anymore, because you feel like no matter what's to come you feel like you'll screw that up too? I more often than not, feel alone in these feelings. I mean, I'll look at everyone else and realize they're doing most of it right cause they're at least smiling, and/or having a good time, (or seemingly so.) And now, you're having a conversation with someone that you know and love, and think, "how can you not SEE that I've ruined my life up until this very moment that we speak?" Or have they, and are just hiding it? Afraid to say something that will upset you, or maybe they don't even have the words to say anything at all. I KNOW there are things in my life that I should be doing and yet, I can't seem to accomplish them. My motivation is unbelievable! I have the motivation to do about anything, but not the will power. Will power is a strong, strong trait. And I have like.. none of it. I admire so much the people that use it. Like my mom. She is a big inspiration to me. She can find something that she wants to do and then actually do it without fail! And, it's hard for her at times, but she can get through it like a champ! I sometimes wish I could switch lives with people for a couple of days. Just to know... how they think, how they feel, what kind of exciting things they have going on in there lives, the struggles. The people they love and care about, the accomplishments they've made and then, compare it with mine. Maybe THEN I'll become stronger. To know what it's like to be someone else. Would I be more grateful? Ungrateful? Mean? Kind? Funny? Soooo NOT funny? Understanding? Not understanding? There are a million differents ways to look at your life when you compare it to others. But even if I could really change lives for a day, would I? Would you? Take away the things that are important to you, like my niece and nephews. My family. My pet? All in exchange for HOPEFULLY something better. But, what if it isn't? Strange people, hard job, dealing with drugs, homeless maybe? All of these thoughts seem so easy at first, "I want to be ANYWHERE but here!!!" So many people say those words. What if God really granted you that wish? Would you rather be somewhere, anywhere but where you are? In reality, I have been there. But thinking now, and with a clear head and actual, REAL thinking and observing, I could NEVER say that I would. Yeah, life is difficult and sometimes you may wish you were somewhere else, anywere else... someone else! But, just stop to think about it. RIGHT NOW. How do you see your life now? Good right? Great? Wonderful? Amazing even? I'm counting my blessings and praying with all of my heart that, I will NEVER get to that place again of wishing for someone elses' life. I am grateful. I have a WONDERFUL family that loves and cares about me and vice-versa. I have a job that I may not LOVE, but I AM employed and with the economy how it is... well, enough said about that. I have so many things that I can list off, but I've rambled enough as it is. I just wanted to express the gratitude for the life I have. And as sucky as it may be at times. I have it good. No... AMAZING!!

AUDITION DAY for American Idol!!

So American Idol auditions came and went and as you all probably know... I was REJECTED! Ha ha! No big surprise there. But what was a surprise, was what the producers were and (most importantly) were NOT letting through. As I sat and waited for hours watching each audition, I was surprised to see that what I "thought" they were looking for, such as good-looking, skinny or muscular, and obviously amazing voices, but that wasn't exactly what was getting through. Don't get me wrong, there were some that were all of those things! But as time pressed forward I was able to stand by and REALLY get a feel for what they were turning down. There was some AMAZING talent in that arena that was passed up turn by turn. More so than what I saw get through. I was baffled. What were they looking for? My audition came and surprising enough I wasn't too nervous. I didn't get to perform in front of Simon, Randy and Paula. In fact, I had to audition for the producers of the show. If you made it through THEN you would get to audition for Randy, Simon and Paula. My turn finally came and well, I did pretty freaking awesome (if I do say so myself) and yet, I was not what they were looking for. I was however, told to pursue some voice lessons and come back again when I was a little better. But, whatever, they probably said that to a lot of people. No worries. All in all though, it was FUN!! And most importantly, I made myself do it!! It's been something that I have wanted to do since the beginning of American Idol. So, one accomplishment down.... and like a million more to go! :)

Ok, so these guys were waiting by us, and some-what close to each other in line and the guy in black pulled out his guitar and started playing then the guy in white came over and joined him with his guitar. He also has a harmonica if you can tell... anyway they made some incredible music together. If only they had a demo or something, I would've bought it right then and there!!

We kinda got obsessed with Mr. Hottie Pants in the background when we were waiting in line, so Leah just had to take a picture. Ha! Ha! So great! Oh, and I wanna say this was at like 5 AM.

The guy on the floor of the arena was helping us put together the two songs that we sang for the recording of the A.I. taping: "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "Get Ready."

American Idol Registration!

So today was American Idol Registration, and it was so much fun! Leah and I left at 5:15am and arrived at 6:00am at The Energy Solutions Arena. When we got there we were greeted with an amazing sunrise and an overwhelming amount of people. We gathered a blanket, some snacks, water bottles and my ping-pong set from the trunk of my car, found the end of the line and made the best of it. We popped a squat under the marquee and made a couple of short videos. We cranked out ping-pong and started playing. The camera crew came around while we were playing ping-pong and we waved our paddles and screamed at the camera. It was great! Then they asked us to tell the camera where we were from (city and state) and so we did. Soon after they asked us all to yell, "Welcome to Salt Lake City!" as a group. We got through the line pretty quickly once they opened up the doors at 7:00am. We were out by 8:00am. It was so much fun and we met some interesting people. I can't wait for Tuesday!!

AMERICAN IDOL AUDITIONS!!

Ladies and gentlemen, it has been brought to my attention that American Idol has announced a new venue to hold the Season 8 auditions on July 29th, 2008... at The Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm so excited! And yes, I have decided to try out! Thank you to all those who are supporting me. I have currently done some research and have discovered that out of the thousands and thousands of people that audition from each venue only an average of approximately 24 people will get through to Hollywood!! So why am I trying out you ask? Well, I've decided that even though I may not be a great singer and I'm definitley not the next American Idol, I deserve to have some fun. This has always been something that I've wanted to do. And why not? Why shouldn't I try out? I realize that I may go up there and possibly make a fool out of myself in front of the entire country, but at least I'll be proud of myself for trying. It'll even be an accomplishment to get to audition in front of Randy, Paula and Simon AND to meet Ryan Seacrest, instead of some other random judges, like some will have to do. I love to sing and I hope that this can be something that can get me through to at least Hollywood, even if it's just for a day. lol. Who knows maybe I'll rub shoulders with the REAL next American Idol!!

My friend Leah has decided to go with me and support me. Sienna's making me a big sign and Leah's gonna hold it for her. This will definitely be something to remember. I'll be taking lots of pictures when I'm there, so no worries about that. I can't bring a video camera, but maybe I'll try to record some from my digital camera. (Ha ha! Suckers!) Hopefully I'll get some pics with/of Ryan Seacrest and that beautiful face of his! I haven't decided yet on which main song I want to use, but I do have a few that I'm trying to choose from. (Apparently you're supposed to have like 2 or 3 prepared.) If you have any suggestions PLEASE feel free to comment and share. I'm really excited about the whole process.. ok, maybe not the waiting and I'm sure I'll get annoyed quickly of the weirdos, but other than that I'm sure it'll be fabulous! Cross your fingers for me!!

Master Cleanse

I have decided to do the Master Cleanse! I've been wanting to do this since I found out about it in massage school, when my instructor told us about her experience on it. I started thinking about it more seriously back in January, and now my brother-in-law Todd has done it and has inspired me to go through with it!! (Thank you Todd.) My mom has started it and I'm pretty scared. I'm not sure I'll have enough will power to do it. I guess we'll find out.

Here's what you do:
This is the recipe for the lemonade cleanse that I will be drinking. I'll be having 6-12 8oz. glasses everyday WITHOUT EATING!! FOR 10 FREAKING DAYS!!!

The Master Cleanse
2 TBS. Syrup
2 TBS. Lemon Juice
8 ounces spring water
No more than 1/10 tsp. cayenne pepper

This is the recipe for the salt flush: I understand when you do this there is an urgencey to be near a bathroom within 1-2 hrs. after drinking this. YIKES!!

Salt Water Flush
1 quart warm water
2 tsp. Sea Salt

After all this information you might be asking "WHY? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!!" Well, here you go, these are some health benefits that the lemonade cleanse may help you accomplish:

I PLAY THE BANJO!

I went and saw Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband a couple of weeks ago. It was so much fun! I went with my mom, Sienna and Roman. I got a tee shirt that was used in one of their music videos that says, "I Play The Banjo!" I enjoyed the concert thoroughly and got some fun pics after when they signed my shirt. I've been psychotic in my sleep lately... ok, all the time! But now more than ever!! The other night I texted my friend Brooke at 1:20AM in my sleep and said, "I'm eating purple pickles for a jam sesh!" Sorry. Love ya Brooke! Then a couple days later, left a message on my aunts answering machine. I only discovered that after I received a missed call and message from her saying that I did so. I still haven't called her back about it. I guess I should, I'm just nervous about what I may have said... oops. haha. Apparently I've always been an animated sleeper, like when I sat up and just stared at Gentry while laughing until she started crying. Or the time when I thought baseball players were in my room and needed me to move the furniture around because it was right in the middle of the field. So I started moving my bed and finally woke up realizing that it was just a dream. But the "purple pickles" takes the cake thus far! Not sure though maybe I'll take a poll and let you guys decide. haha!

This year at Orem's Summer Fest 2008, my nephew, Drew won the cutest baby contest for his age group. It was so cute. And he was quite the cocky little guy too. He was in the parade on a float and he was blowing kisses, waving to people and KISSING HIS MEDAL!! My sister in-law Crystal was so embarrassed. Isn't that hilarious?! It's ok Crys. He's is two!! Ha ha! I freaking love that kid!! By the end of the float, he was so tired but when he saw everyone he was ready to just play.

Music is magical.

Today was strange. I felt out of tune, out of sync, and out of control almost. I could feel this "thing" inside of me trying to escape and find somewhere to run to. I felt no release. Minutes passed as if to watch a caterpillar cross a mile mark for each minute. I took deep breaths, and prayed that it would subside. I decided to turn to my music, which I usually do when my day seems to rocked a little bit.

I turned on my ipod and scrolled through until I found Kelly Clarkson. Even from the beginning I've always adored her. I found her to be someone whom I can relate. I discovered through her music the kind of person she was and is now, only to find a bit of who I am in there too. She writes what she feels, not to impress record labels or people, but to stay true to who she is as an artist. She doesn't write, to just write. She writes because she has a life that needs tending to, and for her it's through her music. I sometimes listen to her and think, how and where does she come up with the words that she uses or sings rather, because I've been searching for those words my whole life!! This then, breaks off a piece of me to share with her and tie to her music of which I've become so familiar. And now it's a part of me and who I am. MUSIC IS MAGICAL. It can tug and pull on your "heart strings" as they call them, and hit a nerve that you may have felt didn't even exist. Whether that be beautiful, destructive, strange, silly, sad or whatever, but music to me is magical. I'm grateful for the wonderful musical talents that God has blessed people with. It makes this world easier to live in I think. At least for me it has. I posted a video bar of this amazing pianist named David Sides on the right hand side of this page. I found him on youtube the other day, and was blown away by his talent. I tried to get his version of, "No Air" by Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown on but, there was some funky girl trying to sing to his beautiful music. I didn't exactly want to display such craziness. lol. But check him out. He's wonderful.

I am starting something new with this whole blogging thing. I'm unsure how I want to do it. I think they might just come out as journal entries almost. I guess we'll just have to wait and find out. I've often heard people say how lame others are on myspace for being so dramatic and down. And I concurr, but then I thought about it. No one is forcing you to go to their page and look at what's going on with them. No one sits you down and makes you try to figure this person or that person out by what they put on their page. It's THEIR PAGE, and they are who they are. They're just simply expressing their life as they live it, whether people read it or not. And so I am stating this now, that this is MY page! And I feel that I'm allowed to have downer moments and I'm not gonna lie, there'll probably be quite a few, but let me just put this out there: I'm not making you come to my page and keep tabs on me. I'm not saying this for the sake of being dark or rebellious, but I just don't want to hear anyone's opinions on how my page SHOULD be. Ok? Ok. Well, now that I've said my peace on that... I'm excited to start something new and different! So here's to a new beginnning of well... something!
